I personally have owned:
HK USP .40 Fullsize
HK USP .45 Tactical SA/DA variant
HK USP .45 Expert
HK USP .45 Tactical LEM variant
HK USP .45 Compact (ok, that one's the wife's wedding present but it's in the family)
The HK USP Expert in any caliber I have shot it in has been one of the most, if not the most accurate pistol I have ever handled. It's a match grade pistol which is still "combat capable" as far as wear, tear, and tolerance of user neglect.
HK Pistols are also the first firearm that I have owned to date that can actually be cleaned by its own parts, save the actual barrel itself. Doubt it was intended, but when you're on the road and forgot a cleaning kit it's nice to know you can at least be able to get it functionally clean with just a hotel toothbrush and the t

I too have heard some crap about the USP 45 from a range operator.
I think he is full of crap! It is an awesome weapon!

The most accurate handgun I've ever shot. I can nail groudhogs at 70 yards with Georgia Arms 230gr +P Gold Dot.

I used to own a hk compact 45 I hated that gun with a passion but also consider I'm used to shooting a beretta 92 and a glock 22. The quality of the gun was fine but the gun seemed vey unbalnced maybe there fullsize is better.

Right on Tim...if H&K could just be a little more competitive with their pricing they would own the .45 market...this is why Glock is so popular (good gun good price) but the USP45 is better than any other .45 by far!!
