In a NutShell: It's your call. I have a glock 17...I like it. I have a Wilson Combat...I like that too. The glock cost $450 and has never failed. The Wilson sost $2200 and it has never failed as well. The Wilson is a whole different level of quality. Somewhere in the middle is the Hk P7M8 -

Review Detail:

I've had this gun for about 8 years. In that time I would say that I've put about 2500 rounds through it. It shoots like a target pistol (accuracy). It has the trigger of a target pistol. It has the best sights I've ever seen on a firearm - EVER. It has never jammed or otherwise failed. If you are going to take this gun to the range....take another pistol with you as well. You will need to alternate shooting with the other pistol, or take several minutes off between magazines in the P7M8. The piston used in this firearm is located below the barrel (this happens to be the top of the trigger guard). That piston gets as hot as satans feet. They have put a little plastic guard there to protect you finger, but it's entirely too easy to find your way around it. After about 100 rounds, that gun is just plain hot. I would also say that this gun is not that easy to disassemble and clean.
