  • →HK Accuracy - USP/USP Tactical/MK23?
    2007-02-05 19:35:38
Has anyone fired any or all three of these pistols and have an opinion on their accuracy? I'm looking to get one and I know the MK 23 is all match grade, but for the price of the pistol for mainly killing paper targets, are the other two 'good enough'? I like the feel of the MK23 even though its larger, but a USP fits nice too. Can you shoot relatively tight groups with either of the two lesser models. And, how do they compare to a P229? I have shot one of those and did well, even though it felt 'tall', but I just like the HK's.

Own a usp 40 (full size) and have benn happy with it' s proformance. at 25 yard it can easily shoot under 3 1/2 inches with out being rested in sand bags. The 45 expert has a O-ring like the MK23 that is reported to improve groups as it tightens up the barrel to slide fit. but Ive never fired any other usp to know one way or another.
  • →USP .45 Standard Holster?

Anyone know any good holsters that would fit a USP .45 Standard? (Please provide links)

I don't off the bat, but Midway USA does have a holster-finder. For a full size USP, they have 164 different holsters: http://www.midwayusa.com/ebrowse.exe/browse?TabID=7&Categoryid=11277&categorystring=10613***694***12659***10778***

  • →I have a usp compact 45. I need to get a holster that will fit it with a weapon light.?

I know safariland makes a holster for the usp 40 compact, with an m3, but I am not sure if I can get the .45 to fit as it is a little bit bigger. I need it to be a duty type holster, no tactical holsters. I would be willing to have one made even.

Is there a leathersmith near you? how about a saddlery? You could have one made to your specifications for around the same price you'd pay for high quality holster to fit your rig. You might pay a little more, but you'd have exactly what you want. Custom made.
  • →Where can I find a Dot sight for my USP?

I have a HK USP 45 and i want to mount a holographic Dot sight on it? Does anyone know of a one ring dot sight that can mount on a USP? Does anyone know of a way to get a weaver rail mount on top of a USP?

Check this out. Might be close. The mounts are at the bottom of the page. JPoint Micro-Electronic Reflex Sight. http://www.jprifles.com/1.6.1.php I have not seen them on pistols but they work real well on shotguns and rifles.
  • →Questions About the H&K USP 9mm?
    2008-03-04 20:02:08
I just bought my first hand gun, and I heard that the H&K makes the best. So after running through some rounds on the range I bought a USP 9mm. I was hoping some gun owners can give me feed back on the H&K. Thanks!

Congratulations on your new acquisition! THE BEST,according to most of the pro's. Rather than deal with amateur opinions, I have found that the professional evaluators, both commercial and independent, have given a slight edge to the H-K pistols, from tests run by evaluators from such sources as Guns & Ammo, American Handgunner, and Gun Tests magazines. In such tests, the H-K USP models had fewer malfunctions and NO (0) failures when tested against, not only the Sig-Sauer, but Beretta, Springfield, and S&W models, as well. I've run nearly 5,000 rounds through my H-K USP .45ACP, including Hydra-Shok, Cor-Bon, and several equivilent custom handloads, with 0 stoppages EVER, and it's tolerances haven't measureably changed since I first aquired it. Know too that I carry my USP .45 in 'Condition One' (c0cked & locked) with a round chambered, just as safely as one can with the 1911. The only negative factors I've dealt with carrying the USP, inherrent in the SOCOM, as well, is it's larger size, but I'm a larger guy and LIKE the more impressive size, and the limited availability of carry systems, but I carry concealed in my own unorthodox manner, anyway. If I HAD to, I might carry my Glock, instead, but only if my H-K was in the shop, which I never foresee happening.
