I know safariland makes a holster for the usp 40 compact, with an m3, but I am not sure if I can get the .45 to fit as it is a little bit bigger. I need it to be a duty type holster, no tactical holsters. I would be willing to have one made even.

Is there a leathersmith near you? how about a saddlery? You could have one made to your specifications for around the same price you'd pay for high quality holster to fit your rig. You might pay a little more, but you'd have exactly what you want. Custom made.

Ok I like both the HK USP comapct (.40 cal.) as well as the Sig Sauer P239 compact (.40 cal.) but I am only gonna buy one so dont say buy both, lol. Now price is not an issue but what I would like to know from everyone else is what do you think is best for a concealed civilian carry gun. I compared both on paper but know I'm going to compare them in person with feel and look. In the mean time help me out on any tips for both guns. Both are reputable companies with outstanding products but I just cant decide. Thanks alot.

It all depends on what you want in terms of maintenance requirements. The HK USP is far easier to maintain and clean due to its polymer frame. It also has polygonal-style rifling which cannot be conventionaly shot out in contrast to traditional cut/button rifling (some say this might be overkill on barrel longevity). The Sigarms P239 is of conventional nature and has an aluminum frame that will lose integirty if the gun is not maintained per instructions. I have seen police trade-in P220s and P226s that could have been respected and maintained better. Most people will not shoot a conventional pistol enough to "wear it out" unless they only own one gun and shoot thousands of rounds out if it consistantly every year. I don't know about you, But I am way to busy to enjoy guns that much. Maybe if I picked the right numbers in Powerball I might have to worry about gun longevity. Buy the gun that has the handling and fetaures that YOU PREFER-not some gun writer who is paid to talk good about a model!

I was wondering if I could have a front weight made for an extended barrel on my usp 45 compact. would anyone know where to look. or maybe where to buy a full sized front weight? I have found some 1911 type comps, but I like the weight added to the comp of the match

According to my friendly neighborhood gunsmith, the recoil compensator (front weight) is unique to the match. Going from that I am afraid you probably will not find one. Sorry man.

I've only had experience with the full size H & K USP .45 acp, but since it is only a minute change in size and caliber I expect it is just as good. Should be great for concealed carry. Look at the inside-the-pants holster like from Don Hume. Good luck. H

I want to put a silencer or suppressor on my pistol. I've found companies selling the suppressor, but I can't find anybody who will sell me a threaded barrel. Please help.
