| The MK23 gives shooters absolute match grade accuracy - yet they exceed the most stringent operational requirements ever demanded of a combat handgun. One of the most thoroughly tested handguns in history, the MK23/MARK 23 project originated in 1991 when HK began development for the U.S. Special Operations Command, the unit that directs the activities of America’s most elite military units, including the NAVY SEALS and the Army Special Forces. Following stringent comparative trials, on May 1st, 1996 the Mk23 was adopted as a service pistol under the designation MK23 MOD.O. | | | | Would you recommend this gun? | | Yes (13 Votes) | | No (15 Votes) |

| | As for the gun itself Sniper nailed it, or your loal gun dealer.
That "attachment" is a $3500 Wilcox industries "Nightstalker" VIS laser and IR flashlight. A newer variation of it is used by about 4 military units worldwide, lol. What do you possibly need infrared for? You do know you would not be able to see the light without night vision? Do a lot of night vision goggle shooting? lol, why not go all out and get a set of $8600 ATN PVS-14-4's and get the full use out of that monolithic IR light. That is $10,000 to shoot a $1,500 gun in the dark. Just get the Surefire X300 with a pressure switch and be content, I assure you it is "real" and soldier approved. I carry one one my HK45, you might also want to take a look at that pistol too.
The "Nightstalker" and many other Wilcox Industries products are not available to the public. Not new anyway (Expect to pay $1500 for an 8 year old model). Which is probably why it has still been known as the "attachment" thus far....
