I'm thinking of picking one of these up, I've read alot of good things about them on HKpro forums, but is a very expensive pistol. Do you think it would be worth it? Anyone have any expeirence with this gun ( I know it is still very new)? I held it in the gun shop and I must say have never felt a pistol that feels so good in my hand!

Congrats on an excellent choice, if you're not bothered by the price tag. Like my Ol' Man used to say, you get what you pay for! Rather than deal with amateur opinions, I have found that the professional evaluators, both commercial and independent, have given a slight edge to the H-K pistols, from tests run by evaluators from such sources as Guns & Ammo, American Handgunner, and Gun Tests magazines. In such tests, the H-K USP models had fewer malfunctions and NO (0) failures when tested against, not only the Sig-Sauer, but Beretta, Springfield, and S&W models, as well. I've run nearly 5,000 rounds through my H-K USP .45ACP, including Hydra-Shok, Cor-Bon, and several equivilent custom handloads, with 0 stoppages EVER, and it's tolerances haven't measureably changed since I first aquired it. Know too that I carry my USP .45 in 'Condition One' (c0cked & locked) with a round chambered, just as safely as one can with the 1911. The only negative factors I've dealt with carrying the USP, inherrent in the SOCOM, as well, is it's larger size, but I'm a larger guy and LIKE the more impressive size, and the limited availability of carry systems, but I carry concealed in my own unorthodox manner, anyway. Good Shootin'.

HK45 is one sexy pistol. Had the opportunity to test fire one at the range. I would love to add it to my collection, but the wife says I already have too many .45ACPs (well "too many guns" was her exact words.)

Awesome choice for a handgun, very topshelf. Comfortable and extremely reliable.

If that's what you want, by all means get it. It is a great, but expensive pistol. I found out that the H&K USP .45 acp did fit my hand very well but I opted for the more powerful Glock Model 20 10mm (that also fit my hand perfectly). The Glock cost less, was higher cap and came with nightsights. So I saved a couple of hundred bucks. No regrets but if I were to buy a .45 acp it most likely would be a USP. H

I have owned the H&K P9S and P7, and they have some fine features. This brand is expensive, so consider other pistols if this one is too costly to fit your budget. I have not tried this new gun as yet, but I have had good experiences with the older Heckler & Koch pistols I owned. I suppose this one would be good too, if you can afford it.
