| | By Yahoo Answers | | 2007-12-24 10:54:30 | | I know safariland makes a holster for the usp 40 compact, with an m3, but I am not sure if I can get the .45 to fit as it is a little bit bigger. I need it to be a duty type holster, no tactical holsters. I would be willing to have one made even. | | Answered By: boker_magnum | |
| | Is there a leathersmith near you? how about a saddlery? You could have one made to your specifications for around the same price you'd pay for high quality holster to fit your rig. You might pay a little more, but you'd have exactly what you want. Custom made. |
| User: Roger W | | check with where you purchased the weapon, they should be able to recommend a holster for you.depending on any modifications that might have been made to the weapon, you may have to get a holster custom made | | | | User: Grizzly II | | I don't know any duty holster made that will fit ANY semi-auto with a flashlight bolted on. The ONLY ones I know of that will accept them are the open-faced, spring loaded 'clam shell' types similar to the Bianchi X-15 models.
I have carried the full-size USP .45ACP for several ears now, and haven't been able to find ANY holster, belt or shoulder rig, Brand name or generic, that will even accept the H-K with a LASER sight, much less a flashlight. If I want to holster carry, I have to remove the LASER for the pistol to fit properly in several holsters I have.
From prior experience, I would get the best fitting holster for the USP Compact without the flashlight, and carry a separate light, as the flash on the weapon is more a liability, as it will pinpoint you as a better target if the situation ever arises, whereas a separate light can be held to the side or overhead, drawing offensive fire away from your person. | | | | User: fishtrembleatmyname | | Here's a list of the Safariland holsters that will fit a full size USP 45 with a Surefire X200. I couldn't see any for the M3, but it might also work with your light, as well. The M3 doesn't appear to be much larger, if any, than the X200.
