| Take your pick. The German ch sound does not appear in standard English, though the Scots use it in words like "loch." It's something of a soft throat-clearing sound a bit harder than an sh sound. Also, if you happen to know a little Russian, Ukrainian or some such, it's the sound of the Cyrillic letter X. |
