Will an HK P2000 accept the higher capacity magazines of a P30?

I am trying to find out if a P2000 will accept the 15 rd mag of a P30. I realize the handgrips are different and there would probably be some extrusion from the bottom of the handgrip with a high cap mag. Other than external differences its my understanding these guns are essentially the same, so it should work. I am just curious if anyone knows for sure... according to wikipedia it will work but I don't completely trust that site... Thanks much.

You were wise not to depend on the Wikipedia "God" In this case they are WRONG. As a H&K Law Enforcement Dealer, I checked all of my sources that indicated that they won't fit, and verified that fact thru the H&K Tech Support crew who verified the same thing..No..it will not fit.. It's real easy to listen to others who suggest "Try it and see.", but you know that is not an inexpensive way to go as well as I do. Better safe than sorry by going to a reliable source.......... Only one way to find out, and that is to try it out in the gun. Magazines are designed to feed at a certain angle. Just because the guns are "essentially" alike, doesn't mean that they actually are in all respects, like parts interchangeability.

Gotta just load the clip and rack the slide to see if it feeds the round properly.
